Reporting to: Managing / Creative Director & Head of Events & Comms

THE ROLE

We are looking for a Partnerships & Events Manager to join our team to support both the partnerships division and the events division over the coming months. They will help to identify, secure and manage cultural partnerships within Film , TV & other verticals of entertainment alongside our Managing/Creative Director. They will support the core events team in delivering elite experiences that help shape the culture through their sharp creative instincts, great organisational skills and good relationship building. Most importantly, they will reflect the culture we’ve been building here for the last few years. 

Partnerships

  • To work closely with the Managing/Creative Director to help ​​secure, project manage and deliver unique, cool and creative brand/marketing/talent partnerships within Film, TV and other verticals of entertainment

  • To identify unique, authentic and valuable partnerships 

  • Support in identifying, approaching and pitching mutually beneficial marketing partnership opportunities where strategies, values and mission align

  • Lead day to day relationships with partners and internal teams to ensure that partnerships are well planned, managed and executed

  • Developing clear project plans, ensuring deadlines are made across all partnership elements

  • To identify all campaign & project deliverables and plans

  • Track and report on key partnership metrics against forecasts and KPI’s from available data sources, both regularly during partnership terms and with post-campaign reports.

  • Identify areas of success or areas for improvement, making and actioning recommendations where relevant.

  • Maintain a database of clients and prospects

Events 

  • To support the Head of Events in coordinating company and client event needs

  • Planning event aspects including venue recces/site visits, guest-list management, managing the delivery of branded event materials ensuring all print deadlines are met and supporting the Head of Events with day to day admin tasks

  • Assisting the wider team with creative decisions across various aspects of the event ( i.e. event design, invitations, AV, logistics & promotions)

  • Seek and negotiate fitting sponsorship opportunities for events 

  • To support the events team onsite on the day of event including; problem-solving, welcoming guests, event set-up and capturing social media content for the team 

  • Identify, build & manage relationships with key influencers, journalists and bloggers (talent)

  • To support the wider team on various PR activities

  • Measure & track the success of events against objectives via event feedback in-situ & post event, attendance rates and CTA responses
     

Requirements

  • Proven, successful event planning experience is ideal [3+ years experience]

  • Demonstrate great understanding and strong knowledge of venue & vendor offerings 

  • Proven, successful experience in facilitating creative partnerships, sponsorship or cultural collaboration with both global and grassroots brands 

  • Excellent communication skills and confidence to deal with people at all levels; face to face, across email, in writing or over the phone

  • Fast learner with strong analytical skills, financial acumen, project management, organisational skills and ability to prioritise & manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Confident, able to work with minimum supervision to strict deadlines and remain calm under pressure

  • Advanced in using general systems such as Google Apps [Docs, Slides & Sheets], Microsoft Office and Project Management Tools i.e. Asana 

  • Ability to thoroughly report on campaign metrics against forecasts 

  • Must be a creative & strategic thinker 

  • Must be a hustler & a problem solver!

  • Have a decent network of contacts within the industry both vertically and horizontally

  • Must know how to manage relationships with multiple stakeholders

  • Willingness to travel for work from time to time

  • Remain informed with current cultural trends within the events, marketing and entertainment world

  • A passion to empower black culture in the UK is a bonus

Timelines
