SUMOTHER
CUP
CHARITY FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT | PARAMOUNT PICTURES | events & EXPERIENTIAL
PURPOSE
Establishing our ongoing relationship with Paramount Pictures, we were tasked to create a celebrity charity football tournament to celebrate the release of Sumotherhood.
With Adam Deacon’s Sumotherhood UK urban parody arriving in cinemas from 13th October, Paramount Pictures UK hosted #SUMOTHERCUP, a celebrity football tournament in aid of education & football charity, Football Beyond Borders (FBB).
The aim was to celebrate and create buzz around the movie by hosting a tournament that will bring some of London’s most popular grassroots teams together alongside influencers & celebrities.

INFLUENCE
On Monday 9th October, media, influencers, special guests and young people from Football Beyond Borders were invited to attend Westway Sports Centre for a special football tournament.
To create a stand-out and memorable experience, we created a sporting event that reflects the action-packed, ambition and urban themes that Sumotherhood represents.
We hosted an eight team competitive football tournament consisting of popular grassroots clubs including online sensations SE Dons, Hackney Wick FC, I'm Just Bait FC, Unite FC and Grenfell Athletic. Other teams included Paramount Pictures [Execs], Sumotherhood [Cast/Crew] and German Doner Kebab / XIX which were specially curated teams. Young people from FBB were also invited to participate, engage in activities and meet key talent from the movie.
To compliment the tournament we also created an action packed evening filled with fun, vibes, food and entertainment. Food was sponsored by German Doner Kebab and drinks were fuelled by XIX Vodka.
In addition to the overall event design and branding, our creative team designed the match day programme and custom kits for both Paramount & Sumotherhood football teams.
